Registration for the Yellow Cab Football Clinic 2017 is now CLOSED.

From April to September 2017, there were 11 clinics conducted with over 1,300 kids who played. This was in partnership with three foundations; Gawad Kalinga, SOS Children’s Village, and San Ildefonso Parish Makati.

The Yellow Cab Football Cup is a 2-Day Tournament where various teams from all over the country are invited to sign-up and play! Yellow Cab advocates children’s rights for play by bringing together kids ages 7-19 years old to compete in friendly matches, cultivating and fueling their passion for the game.

RULES AND REGULATION 2017

The Yellow Cab Football Cup 2017 rules and regulations are subject to change and may vary from the previous year. The sign-up portal for 2017 will be open on AUGUST 2017.

    1. General Guidelines
    • The Yellow Cab Football Cup will be played in accordance with the applicable rules of the PFF, AFC and FIFA.
    2. Venue and Time of Registration
    • Games will be played on November 11 & 12, at the University of Makati, JP Rizal Extension.
    • Registration is 1 hour before the scheduled game given.
    • Coaches’ Briefing 30 minutes before the first scheduled games.
    • Start of the Tournament 8AM.
    3. Age Groups
    • U7 (born 2010 and later): 5-a-side football | maximum of 10 players
    • U9 (born 2008 and later): 6-a-side football | maximum of 12 players
    • U11 (born 2006 and later): 6-a-side football | maximum of 12 players
    • U13 (born 2004 and later): 7-a-side football | maximum of 14 players
    • U15 (born 2002 and later): 7-a-side football | maximum of 14 players
    • U17 Girls (born 2000 and later): 7-a-side football | maximum of 14 players
    4. Eligibility of Players/Team Line-Up
    • Each team can register a maximum of 10 to 14 players (Team can add 2 additional players to their line up but only 10-12 players, or as based on the maximum number of registrants as indicated on item 3, will be given a medal if the team wins).
    • Each team must register its players at the start of the tournament; all teams are required to submit their line-up with corresponding documents as proof of age (passport, birth certificate, school ID, etc).
    5. Tournament Format
    • U7, U9, U11 will play on November 11; U13, U15, U17 will play on November 12.
    • Printed Schedule shall be given to all coaches prior to the start of the tournament.
    • Each group will play the GROUP STAGE in a single round robin.
    • Top 2 teams of each group goes to the CHAMPIONS CUP.
    • 3rd and 4th placers go to the Plate Competition.
    • CHAMPIONS CUP and PLATE COMPETITION will be played on the same day.
    6. Match Regulations

    Each game will last twenty (20) minutes. We have allotted a 25-minute slot for each game, which means there will be five (5) minutes between each match for the teams to enter and exit the field. A referee/marshal will be on hand to collect the teams and escort them to the field of play. As soon as the previous game ends, the next two teams will enter the vacated field.

    Teams are advised to play close attention to the game schedule. All games will start with a central whistle and stop at the same time. If your team is late to the field, the game will start regardless of the numbers.

    • Seven-a-side for U17, U15, U13. Six-a-side for U11 and U9. Five-a-side for U7.
    • In and out substitutions with referee’s approval.
    • No offside.
    • No back passes to the GK.
    • Yellow cards are not accumulated; however, a red card will lead to direct expulsion from the tournament.
    7. Points Distribution
    • Three (3) points for a win, a point (1) for a draw, and zero (0) for a loss.
    • In the event of a tie in the group, the standings will be decided by:
      • Goal difference
      • Goals scored
      • Goals against
      • Head-to-head
      • Coin toss
      • In the event of a tie in the semifinals or final, the game will go straight to sudden-death penalty shootout. Only active players can participate in the shootout.
    8. Awards
    • Medals and Trophies and Team Prizes will be awarded to the Champion, 1st and 2nd Runner Up.
    • Individual Awards per Age Category:
      • MVP
      • Best Striker
      • Best Midfielder
      • Best Defender
      • Best Goal Keeper
    9. Table Registration Information

    Proceed to OFFICIALS Desk for Final Registration and receive Information Packet and YELLOW CAB TEAM PACKAGE.

    10. Important Reminders
    • A group of Medics will be available for First Aid.
    • Ambulance is also available for those in need of Emergency Care.
    • The organizers request teams to bring Sports Tape if it is used for Shin Guard placement. Sports Tapes will be applied or administered to injured players who are in need to use such.
    • No PETS are allowed inside the University of Makati.
    • No SMOKING is allowed inside the University of Makati.

    • Top 2 goes of each group goes to the CHAMPIONS CUP
    • 3rd and 4th placers go to the Plate Cup
    • CHAMPIONS CUP and PLATE CUP will be played on MATCH DAY 2
    6. Match Regulations
    • All games will be played based on 5, 6 or 7 aside as indicated on point 3
    • A team needs the following number of players to start and finish the match
      • Three (3) players to start and three (3) players to finish a 5 a side game.
      • Four (4) players to start and four (4) players to finish a 6 a side game.
      • Five (5) players to start and five (5) players to finish a 7 a side game.
    • Open substitution with the referee’s permission.
    • Off – side rule is waived
    • Play back or Pass back to the goalkeeper is NOT allowed.
    • Throw in, NO short corner.
    • Goal Keeping six (6) second rules will be applied.
    • Playing time: To be advised based on AGE CATEGORY
    • Goal kick not allowed to score, at least there is a second touch.
    • Coaches meeting before the start of the tournament for rules clarification.
    • Three minutes default rule will be applied to all teams.
    • Kick off direct to the goal is not allowed, at least there is a second touch.
    • Yellow card is not accumulated.
    • Two yellow cards in the same match at denying an obvious goals scoring opportunity = 1 GAME SUSPENSION
    • Spitting an opponent, insulting, using abusive language or gesture = 2 GAMES SUSPENSION
    • Direct red card for violent conduct; serious foul play=out of the tournament.
    7. Points Distribution

    Win = 3 points Draw = 1 point Loss = 0 point
    In case of ties after the round, they shall be broken as follows:

    • Goal Difference
    • More number of goals for
    • Less number of goals against
    • Winner over the other
    • Sudden death penalty

    In cases of ties in the Semi–finals, and Finals, extra time of 5 minutes will be played.
    If extra time results in a tie, a shoot–out will be observed, three (3) penalties, then sudden death.
    Only active players can participate in the shoot-out.

    8. Awards
